Making Sense of What You've Been Carrying

If you're struggling, I want you to know there is hope and a way through.

If you feel overwhelmed, chronically anxious, disconnected from yourself, or weighed down by experiences you have been carrying, I am glad you are here.

Most people who reach out feel stuck, unseen, and unheard. They are often overthinking, second-guessing themselves, or struggling in relationships and life in ways that leave them feeling unsettled and unsure of how to move forward.

If you are looking for therapy that goes beyond talking and into understanding what is happening beneath the surface so real change can begin, this may be the right place for you.

For many people I work with, these struggles didn’t start out of nowhere. They often began in earlier relationships where emotional needs weren’t consistently understood, supported, or safe to express.

Over time, this can show up in adulthood as anxiety, self-doubt, difficulty with boundaries, feeling disconnected from yourself, or repeating painful relationship patterns that are hard to make sense of.

I offer specialized therapy for adults (18+) who are navigating:

  • PTSD & C-PTSD
  • Anxiety & OCD
  • Complex Relationship Patterns
  • Emotional Neglect
  • Narcissistic abuse & Family scapegoating

What therapy with me feels like

If you choose to begin therapy, you do not have to come with everything figured out or hold everything together. You are welcome to come just as you are.

Together, we will begin by slowing things down and making sense of what you have been carrying. We will gently explore what happened, how it affected you, and how it continues to show up in your life today. As experiences begin to make sense in new ways, confusion, self-blame, and shame often begin to soften.

Our work together also goes beyond understanding the past.  Overwhelming or traumatic experiences can leave lasting effects not only on thoughts and emotions, but also on the nervous system, relationships, sense of safety, and connection to yourself. Healing can happen through the safety of our connection and with specialized trauma-informed approaches and the inclusion of new experiences of being understood, supported, and responded to.

Along the way, we will work to strengthen areas that may not have been fully nurtured earlier in life, such as emotional awareness, self-trust, healthy boundaries, self-worth, emotional regulation, and the ability to remain connected to your authentic self in relationships.

I also provide practical tools, skills, and strategies to help you navigate challenges in your daily life beyond our therapy sessions, supporting lasting growth and change outside the therapy room.

You can expect a steady, compassionate space where what feels confusing, painful, or overwhelming can be slowed down, understood, and met with care rather than pressure or judgment.

My hope is not only that you gain insight into the past, but that emotional wounds begin to heal, the past loosens its hold on the present, and you become more grounded, connected, and free to live in ways that feel true to who you are.

If including faith is important to you, I also offer counselling from an accepting Christian perspective.

Therapy works best when there is a sense of trust, honest connection, and genuine care. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so that we can explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you.  I would be honored to walk alongside you.
