It can feel like certain memories, emotions, or body reactions get “stuck,” showing up long after the original experience is over. You might notice your body reacting before you have time to think, or certain triggers bringing up emotions that feel intense or hard to control.
Even when you logically know you are safe, something in you still responds as if the past is happening in the present.
EMDR (Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an approach I offer that may be helpful if you are struggling with:
Rather than only talking through what happened, EMDR can help your brain and nervous system process these experiences in a way that reduces emotional intensity, softens distressing beliefs, and supports a more grounded and balanced response to triggers.
We work at a pace that feels manageable for you. The focus is on creating enough stability and safety first, then gently supporting your system in processing what feels overwhelming or unresolved.

I’m Adrie-Anne Gamble, MPCC, CCC. I support adults in healing from trauma, complex trauma, and unwanted thoughts, emotions, and patterns that continue to impact their lives.
Together we work to help you heal from what happened and also develop what may never have been fully nurtured—self-trust, emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and a secure sense of self. Through experiential, trauma-informed work, we create opportunities for new experiences of safety, connection, and confidence that can gradually become part of daily life.
Therapy is most helpful when there is a sense of honest connection and genuine care for what you’re going through.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can explore whether working together feels like the right fit.
