Online Christian Counselling in Alberta

Bible pages folded into a heart represents clients wanting their Christian faith included in therapy

Faith can be part of the conversation—if you want it to be.

For many people, faith isn’t separate from what they’re going through. It shapes how you understand yourself, your relationships, your suffering, and where you find hope.

We can make room for both the emotional work of healing and the spiritual questions that may come with it.

Painful experiences can affect more than how you feel. They can leave you questioning what you believe, what God asks of you, and how to move forward when there doesn’t seem to be an easy answer.

You may be trying to navigate:

  • Family estrangement or rejection
  • Trauma or emotional neglect
  • Difficult or harmful relationships
  • Guilt, shame, forgiveness, and boundaries
  • Grief and unanswered prayer
  • Feeling distant from or disappointed with God
  • Confusion about what Scripture asks of you in painful relationships
  • How to protect yourself while still living according to your values

These can be difficult things to hold alone.

Your faith can be integrated alongside this work in a way that feels natural and meaningful to you.

A Place for the Questions That Aren’t Easy to Answer

Am I wrong for stepping back?

Does forgiveness mean I have to reconcile?

How do I love someone without continuing to accept harmful behavior?

Why did God allow this?

Where is God in all of this?

Sometimes there isn’t a simple answer.

We can make space to explore these questions honestly and thoughtfully, without pressure to arrive at a particular conclusion and without minimizing what you have experienced

You Decide How Much Faith Is Part of Your Counselling

For some people, that means knowing their therapist understands and respects their Christian worldview. For others, it can include talking openly about faith, exploring Scripture, prayer, or considering how their beliefs intersect with what they are working through.

There is no expectation that faith has to be incorporated in a particular way. This is your therapy.

This is your therapy, and you decide what feels meaningful and appropriate for you.

If you’re looking for counselling from a Christian perspective, I welcome you to reach out.

We can talk about what you’re looking for and whether working together might be a good fit.
